The young conductor Adi Bar was born in Israel and received his first piano lessons at the age of six. In the 2014-2015 season Adi Bar conducted at the Pfalztheater in Kaiserslautern and other orchestras including the orchestra of the Constanta National Theater. Adi Bar conducted gala concerts and performances of Verdi’s “Nabucco” and Bizet´s “Carmen” at the Opera Classica Europa.
In the 2013-2014 season he conducted symphony concerts with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Lecce, with the Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta and took over the the musical direction of Lehár’s “Lustige Witwe” at the Frankfurt Chamber Opera.
In the 2012-2013 season Adi Bar made his debut at the Mannheim Nationaltheater with Mozart’s “Zauberflöte”. This was followed by a large number of concert invitations, among them the Polish Chamber Philharmonic, the Berlin Chamber Philharmonic and guest conducting appearances, including at the Sopot Opera Festival.
In the 2011-2012 season Adi Bar was a musical assistant at Dresden’s Semperoper and conducted many concerts with, among others, the Stettin Opera orchestra at venues including the Leipzig Gewandhaus.
In the 2010-2011 season Adi Bar conducted the Südwestfalen Philharmonic and led concerts with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic and concerts at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt in the family concerts series.
In 2008-2010 Adi Bar was Kapellmeister at the Augsburg Theater. There he conducted numerous opera and ballet productions, including Mozart’s „Zauberflöte”, Stravinsky’s “Histoire du Soldat”, Rossini’s „Il Barbiere di Seviglia“, Offenbach’s „Orpheus in der Unterwelt“, Lehár’s „Das Land des Lächelns”, Lorzing’s „Zar und Zimmermann”, symphonic and youth concerts.
